Questions on this use case
My sign faces north with no direct sun — deal-breaker?
No: the arm lets you aim the solar panel differently from the lamp, and the small 9 W module lives on diffuse light for its cycle. In a genuinely dark spot, the C variant adds headroom.
Can I light a roadside billboard?
Technically yes — that is the intended use. Along public roads, billboards and their lighting are cantonally regulated: check your display permit before installing.
